First impressions: The 45 foot Antares 13.80 is a very well built boat . She has a powerful bow and entry with a modified V hull. As we walked up to her, we knew we were in for a real treat. Her high quality build was obvious without even stepping aboard.

The design concept of each of Beneteau's Antares models are similar. Each has the same purpose behind it - the ability to go to sea. One of the nice things I like about the design is that she has upper and lower driving stations. Many boats this size do not have interior helm stations so you are always out in the weather. It’s also nice to be on the same level as the hull when it gets really nasty. Each of the Antares shares that primary design feature. It's a good thing.
Let's "Go for a Stroll" on the Side Decks
 When taking a tour of the front decks... the first thing you will notice is that she's a true walk-around. Handrails are right where you would expect them. The rails are heavier than normal. The decks provide for good sea protection and a very secure feeling.

Her side decks provide a boulevard leading right to the foredeck. And as you'd expect on a boat of this class, there is a comfortable sun platform up front. A great place for sunbathing.
