The Picnic Boat

Since its introduction in 1994, the Hinckley Picnic Boat® has become the most successful single motor yacht in our history.
The Picnic Boat, a 36-foot boat designed by Bruce King, pioneered an innovative water jet system that eliminated the need for a propeller. It is the first time jet propulsion was used on pleasure boat of this class. Other companies soon imitated this pioneering technology.
In 1998, Hinckley introduced the JetStick®, the first integrated, computerized maneuvering system in a production boat. Acting like a sophisticated joystick, the system makes it intuitive to steer and dock a jet boat.
The introduction of the JetStick was a revolution in boat handling technology that transformed the Picnic Boat into the world's most easily maneuverable yacht.
