True North 33 (Cont'd...)
It All Begins With A
Vacuum, Ends With a Superior HullThe hull
and deck of the True North series are constructed using TPI Composites
proprietary SCRIMP® resin infusion technology, a manufacturing process that
results in products that are lighter and stronger than those made with
conventional fiberglass techniques.

This is accomplished by using a vacuum system and
fiberglass knits and wovens to allow resin to migrate through the laminate.
Resin is infused through dry glass and core material to ensure full wet-out
and eliminate voids.
This results in a fiberglass structure that consists
of 70% glass and 30% resin, versus the 40% glass 60% resin ratio obtained
through traditional techniques. This means the material is lighter and
stronger.

As a result of this advanced technology and years of
material testing, the True North 33 comes with a 5-year structural warranty
and a transferable 10-year blister warranty. TPI Composites, parent company
of Pearson Yachts, currently builds the line of J/Boats as well as Alerion
Express sailboats. Over the years, TPI has built more than 15,000 power and
sailing vessels under a number of brand names. For more detailed information
