Sea Ray's 270 Amberjack is the consummate family cruiser. At least that’s what you’d assume from the spacious cockpit, well-appointed cabin and abundant standard features.
But add the optional fishing package, and suddenly you’ve got an aggressive big game boat that’s ready to tackle anything you can reel in. The new design hull and deck features unmistakable Sea Ray shear- and character-line profiles capped off by soft, tinted, curved-glass windshield with center walk-thru and eight custom Sea Ray 8” thru-bolted stainless-steel cleats. The cockpit boasts a heightened freeboard with soft vinyl bolsters, for improved safety and comfort, a wide walk-through transom door leading to an integrated, extended swim platform with concealed stainless-steel three-step swim ladder, and a voluminous built-in insulated transom fish-box with acrylic lid.

Sea Ray's 270 Amberjack
Guests can relax in the portside back-to-back lounger seat or on the convenient aft bench seat that can fold away to create more space in the cockpit area for fishing. For those brave enough to go after the big ones, the 270 Amberjack offers an optional fishing package that includes a bait-prep station with re-circulating live baitwell and sink, tubular aluminum arch with rocket launchers, rod holders, and a seawater washdown system.

Below, a roomy cabin with creature comforts of rich fabrics, cherry-wood Formica® cabinets and an elegant burl-wood accented dinette table create a luxurious atmosphere you’d expect to find on a much larger cruiser. For overnighting, the large V-berth converts to sleeping space with standard, lushly upholstered filler cushions. A full-service galley makes entertaining simple and fun with every convenience from a stove to microwave to a dual voltage refrigerator. The 270 Amberjack also has a fully enclosed fiberglass head complete with VacuFlush® toilet, vanity, and shower.

Piloting the Sea Ray 270 Amberjack is easy thanks to a standard 300 horsepower 350 Magnum® MPI MerCruiser® with a Bravo III stern drive and standard stainless-steel prop set. The ergonomic layout of the control station features easy-to-read Custom Sea Ray SmartCraft™ diagnostic instrumentation, power-assisted steering, weatherproof, lighted chrome toggle switches, and standard Raymarine 215 VHF radio, all mounted in a handsome high-gloss black and coral burl instrument panel. Cruising ambience is provided by a standard Sirius Satellite ready Clarion® stereo/CD player.
The new 270 Amberjack is nicely equipped with plenty of standard features and full membership to the Sea Ray Owners Club™, but also comes with an extensive list of options from engine upgrades to generator to air conditioning to electronics. So, if you’re ready to make the leap to an overnighting- or weekender-type cabin cruiser, the new 270 Amberjack is ready for you.
