Broward Yachts are the product of Broward Marine, located in Dania, Florida. Navy contracts led to the first Broward creations, and one of Broward’s first yachts, built in the 1950’s, was considered to be a megayacht in its day. Broward Marine has a focus on creating custom yachts specifically designed for the client’s lifestyle. Aluminum is the material of choice for Broward yachts, and both engineers and designers work together to blend new technology with Old World flair. Broward has taken into consideration the favorite customer options, and integrated them into standard options for newer yachts, which also offer a longer range and more cruising speed. Today, Broward yachts are produced in sport fishing, raised bridge, raised pilothouse, and tri-deck models ranging from 98 to 156 feet in length.

Carver Yachts had small beginnings turn into large yachts. In 1954, Charlie Carter and George Verhagen started the Carver tradition in a garage. Carver is now headquartered in Pulaski, Wisconsin, with more facilities in Fano, Italy, and pays strict attention to details of form and function when designing a yacht. The sizes of Carver yachts span from 41 feet to 59 feet long. Points of electrical, mechanical, and structural concern are stressed in the choice of components and overall manufacture of the yachts. Carver also makes semi-custom luxury yachts meeting rigid standards.

Grand Banks Yachts has been producing cruising, semi-custom motoryachts since 1963. Grand Banks yachts are manufactured in American Marine facilities within Singapore and Malaysia. Yachts produced by Grand Banks feature cutting-edge navigation and state-of-the-art communication systems. The sizes of yachts range from 36-foot long yacht, to a 64-foot style. There are a number of different lines of Grand Banks yachts from which to choose. Fiberglass is a prominent material in Grand Banks yachts. Hulls are specifically designed for both stability and speed; the design is a combination of displacement and planing hull technology. Some Grand Banks models offer a choice of single or twin diesel engines.

Guy Couach Yachts specializes in high-end luxury cruising yachts. A company whose roots are in four generations of the Couach family, Couach has been in business since 1897. Today, the company is no longer family-owned, but the research and high technology of its motor yachts continues. Guy Couach yachts are constructed of composite materials and arrive in three styles: flybridge, open, and yachts. Some yachts are created as long-range, and tri-decks. The sizes of Guy Couach yachts range from 54 feet to 120 feet in overall length. Mainship Yachts , famous for its trawlers, is part of the Luhrs Marine Group. John and Warren Luhrs initiated the construction of a single diesel pleasure yacht that was geared toward fuel economy and family affordability, in light of the ongoing international fuel problems in 1977. The construction of Mainship yachts occurs in shared Luhrs facilities at St. Augustine, Florida, and an additional facility in Midway, Georgia. Today, Mainship builds two series of yachts – a selection of open express or hardtop sedans for the Pilot brand, and a choice of flybridge sedan or aft-cabin trawlers. The trawler yachts range from 36 to 47 feet, and the Pilot brand yachts have both 33 and 36 foot models.

Mikelson Yachts offers yachts which cruise out of Southern California. Mikelson specializes in semi-custom sportfishing and pilothouse yachts. These yachts are limited edition, with high speed/low horsepower engines that minimize fuel consumption. Models today range from 43 feet to 75 feet in overall length. At Mikelson, all equipment systems used in yacht building is state-of-the-art. Each Mikelson yacht has different, custom features at an attractive price, to please customers. Stability on the yachts is achieved through a low center of gravity and a wide beam. The customer is the focus at Mikelson, from design through support. Sabre Yachts manufactures luxury sailboats to the certification levels of the National Marine Manufacturers Association, the American Boat and Yacht Council, and the European CE. The yachts have been hand-built in South Casco, Maine since 1971. Sabre yachts have customization ability on various levels, and Sabre uses concepts that reflect agile manufacturing in order to provide this flexibility. The sailing yachts produced by Sabre are a combination of a cruising yacht with a racing yacht, from 38 feet to 42 feet in length. They are designed to carry a heavy or high load. Sabre keels are formed to achieve maximum lift for the yacht, while maintaining solid performance. The sail plans are created with both light winds and harsh weather in mind. The Sabre 426 won Sail Magazine’s Top Ten award.

SeaRay Yachts began constructing boats and yachts in 1959 and is one of the initial users of fiberglass and advanced composite materials in boat/yacht building. Sea Ray’s headquarters are located in Knoxville, Tennessee; six manufacturing plants are located in Tennessee and Florida. The Product Development and Engineering facility is in Florida, with state-of-the-art technology such as robotics and CAD/CAM that provides data to control machinery. Sea Ray produces four types of vessels: sport boats, cruisers, sport yachts, and yachts. The sizes of the boat and yacht fleet range from 18 to 68 feet in length. Sea Ray pays great attention to ergonomics, and testing in-water for six weeks. Many awards have been attributed to Sea Ray in the areas of hospitality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Silverton Yachts was originally a small builder called Silverton Sea Skiffs. John and Warren Luhrs bought the builder in 1969 and incorporated the family techniques in the business, with success. So today, Silverton, in Millville, New Jersey, is part of the Luhrs Marine Group. Silverton is a forerunner in the construction of aft-cabin family cruisers. The lines of yachts built by Silverton are convertibles, motor yachts, and sport bridge. These yachts measure from 35 feet to 51 feet overall in length. Silverton has been innovative in their design of the SideWalk, a flybridge-side molded stairway, and interior designs as well. Silverton hulls have a vinylester barrier coat to alleviate blistering, and a stringer system hand-laminated to the hull with gel coat applied to vastly reduce water penetration.

Sunseeker Yachts had its roots as Poole Powerboats. A British company based in Poole, England, the first vessel to sport the name Sunseeker was manufactured in the mid-1970s, and the name change occurred in the early 1980’s. With the change in identity came new hull designs that set the bar for performance higher. Nowadays, each Sunseeker yacht bears a hull design that comes from the racing world, and skillfully constructed using composite materials. Sunseeker is the recipient of two International Superyacht Design awards, and a multiple-time recipient of the Queen’s Award for Export Achievement. The vast majority of Sunseeker production is exported. Six lines of yachts and related vessels make up Sunseeker’s fleet. They vary from a 135-foot long yacht down to a 37-foot long high performance yacht.
