Tiara Yachts Earns "Best of the Best" Honors from Robb Report

Tiara Yachts, Holland, Michigan, recently received the Robb Report "2004 Best of the Best - Production Yacht" designation award for the Tiara 4200 Open, the flagship of the Open Series.
The Robb Report presents the "Best of the Best" annually, and as stated, "...our choices reflect value as well as excellence. Whether a company builds megayachts or provides private flight, each of this year's selections offers benefits that surpass clients' expectations." The Tiara 4200 exemplifies this ideal.
The 4200 Open, a boat designed to accommodate both cruisers and anglers, incorporates standout features intrinsic to Tiara designs: a composite wraparound windshield, a custom-designed hard top (optional), and a sloping sheerline. The windshield's tempered glass is housed in a curved frame, making sight lines from the helm virtually distortion-free. The sloping sheerline gives the Tiara Open flagship a sleek look and allows for simple passage from the cockpit to the foredeck.
"John Garland, Tiara's vice president of design, says ... 'We try to be progressive in our styling quest, but we never lose sight of the signature Tiara design elements that our customers have come to expect ... Also, form definitely follows function.' " The performance of the new 4200 Open will satisfy the most discerning captains.
"The 4200's top speed is approximately 40 mph. 'It's big enough to feel like you're on a yacht, but small enough to feel like a performance boat,' Garland says. Recently, Tiara added a third interior layout option with a second enclosed stateroom."
The 4200 Open is the largest of six models included in the Tiara Open Series, and offers three floor plans, with 1 or 2 staterooms. Equipped with twin inboard diesels, the length overall, excluding the standard bow pulpit, is 42'6", and the beam is 14'11".
