Wellcraft Boats Introduces New Bay Boat Line

Shallow-water fishermen now have two new choices to consider when shopping this year’s boat show season. The Wellcraft 215 Bay and 195 Bay models for 2006 offer everything a great bay boat should: an 8’ 6” beam, a fully lined, self-bailing cockpit, huge casting decks fore and aft, a lighted console baitwell, transom release well, plenty of rod and dry storage, prewire for optional trolling motor and charging system, and a choice of clean, quiet Yamaha four strokes.

Bay Boats with Wellcraft Quality

This is an exciting time for us,” said Wellcraft president Dean Samuelson. “Wellcraft has a rich tradition of building boats that fit the way people fish. When we decided to enter the bay boat market, we designed our boats to combine Wellcraft quality and fishability with the latest shallow-water fishing innovations and a wide choice of options to satisfy every fisherman.”

Advanced Design Technology

The 215 and 195 hulls draw 10 inches of water and are available with an optional tunnel hull for refined shallow running. Wellcraft’s advanced design technology makes these hull designs run smooth and dry from the shallows to rough bay crossings.

Impressive Options

The Bay series boasts an impressive options list, allowing each owner an unprecedented level of customization. Key options include: aft bench seat with removable backrest, t-top with rod holders, bow cushions, pull-up stainless cleats, cockpit bolsters, casting seat, jack plate, leaning post, poling platform, tackle center, trim tabs, raw water washdown even a removable windshield rail for tight garage fits. Hull color upgrades include Sea Blue, Sea Green or Sea Yellow.

The 195 Bay has a 19’ 6” LOA, 1,500 lb. dry weight, 54 gal fuel capacity and 14-degree deadrise on the 25” transom. Power choices include the popular Yamaha F90, F115 or F150.

The 215 is 21’ 6” long, weighs 1,900 lbs. and can handle up to 225 hp. Power choices include the Yamaha F115, F150, F200 and F225.

With these designs and industry-leading option packages, every bay boat shopper will find the boat they’re looking for at the Wellcraft dealer or boat show display,” said Samuelson.

As with any boat manufacturer that is committed to ongoing product improvements, specifications, options and equipment are subject to change without notice.
